Yes I have a problem eating with my dentures. I have a full lower plate, and when I use Fixodent, my dentures stay in for a while but then loosen and they have to be removed. It is like the salavia in my mouth desolves the Fixodent and they break loose. Is there a stronger holding product that you make? The product that I am using is Fixodent Free.

I have had my upper plate dentures for a week, and I find I am doing well with the exception of the right side of the plate that has a V shape cut out in the plate. It is like the V cut in the middle of the upper plate. I find the area very sharp, and is irritating my gum area. My friend has dentures, and she says she does not have a V cut out in her plate like I do. can anybody explain to me if they have that, and why they do that?

I too, now have lower denture and having a terrible time similar to yours.  Fixodent has a new adhesive called Fixodent Comfort.  I found it to be the best of any I've tried, including some I ordered that was made in Switzerland.  One part of success on any adhesive is making sure they are DRY when adding adhesive.  The Fixodent Comfort lasts the longest and I have actually gone through two meals before having to reapply.  Yes.....some hot soup or other hot liquids seem to reduce that time but it is definitely better than others tried.

To Lovegolf; if the v-shape is sharp and irritating; either ask dentist to sand it down a bit, or if that's not possible, for financial or other reasons; take an emery-board (kind used to file your nails) and very gently; sand the spot down until it no longer IS sharp and irritating......no need to suffer unneccesarily....Mysmile
